How Ghana Travel & Tour collects, uses and protects the information you share with us.
1. Who we are
Ghana Travel & Tour ("we", "us") is a travel agency based in Kasoa Opeikuma, Central Region, Ghana. Contact: support@ghanatravelandtour.com, +233 24 915 1503.
2. What we collect
When you request a quote, book a service or contact us we may collect: your name, phone number, email address, nationality, travel dates and flight details, the number and names of people travelling, and any information you choose to share (for example passport details needed for a visa or passport application, or special requirements). Our website server also records standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, time of visit) for security and to keep the site running.
3. Why we use it
- To prepare quotes and deliver the services you ask for — bookings, applications, pickups, homes, cars and tours.
- To pass necessary details to the suppliers who fulfil part of your trip (airlines, hotels, embassies and consulates, insurers, drivers and guides). We share only what each supplier needs.
- To contact you about your booking, and to answer your questions.
- To keep records required by Ghanaian law and accounting rules.
We do not sell your data. We do not send marketing messages unless you have asked for them, and you can opt out at any time by replying "stop" or emailing us.
4. Website forms and cookies
Enquiries sent through the website forms are delivered to our own server and forwarded to our team by email and messaging so that we can respond. This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Preferences such as your chosen currency or checklist progress are stored only in your own browser (local storage) and are never sent to us. Embedded Google Maps and Google Fonts may set their own cookies under Google's privacy policy.
5. How long we keep it
We keep booking and enquiry records for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal and accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymised. Copies of identity documents collected for passport or visa applications are deleted once the application process is complete unless you ask us to keep them for a future application.
6. Security
Data sent through this website is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Access to enquiry records is limited to staff who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
7. Your rights
Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) and, where it applies, the laws of your own country, you can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we have no legal duty to keep it. 8. Children
We collect details of children only as part of a booking made by a parent or guardian.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the date at the top shows the current version.
