Terms of Service
The terms that apply when you request a quote or book with Ghana Travel & Tour. Your individual quote may add specific conditions; where the two differ, the quote applies.
1. Who you are dealing with
Ghana Travel & Tour ("we", "us"), Kasoa Opeikuma, Central Region, Ghana. For some services we act as an agent for third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, insurers, embassies); for others — private homes, airport pickup, car rental with driver and guided tours — we provide the service ourselves or through partners we manage.
2. Quotes and bookings
Quotes are itemised and valid for the period stated on them. A booking is confirmed when we receive your deposit and send written confirmation. Prices for third-party services (especially flights) can change until they are paid in full and ticketed.
3. Payment
We accept Mobile Money, bank transfer in GHS, USD, GBP or EUR, and Visa / Mastercard. The deposit and balance schedule is stated on each quote. Bank and card charges from your side are your responsibility; we show any charges from our side before you pay.
4. Changes and cancellations
Tell us as early as possible. Where a supplier allows free changes we pass that on; where a supplier charges, we pass on the cost at cost and show it to you first. Cancellation terms for homes, cars and tours are stated on the quote. Airline tickets follow the fare rules of the ticket. Deposits for passport and visa services cover work already done and are not refundable once an application has been prepared or submitted.
5. Passport and visa services
We prepare, check and submit applications on your behalf. Decisions, processing times and fees are set by the Passport Office, embassy or consulate concerned, and we cannot guarantee approval or timing. Government fees are separate from our service fee and are non-refundable if an application is refused. You are responsible for the truth and completeness of the information and documents you give us.
6. Travel documents and health
You are responsible for holding a valid passport, the visas required for your journey, and a yellow fever vaccination certificate where required, and for following medical advice for your trip. We provide guidance in good faith but it is not a substitute for checking with the relevant embassy or your doctor.
7. Accommodation, transport and tours
Homes are provided as described on your confirmation. Guests are responsible for damage beyond normal wear, and for the behaviour of their party. Vehicles are driven by our professional drivers unless a self-drive rental is agreed in writing, in which case you must hold a valid licence and comply with Ghanaian road law. Itineraries may be adjusted for weather, road conditions, safety or events outside our control; we will offer the nearest equivalent.
8. Liability
We take reasonable care in selecting suppliers and delivering our own services. We are not liable for loss or delay caused by airlines, government offices, weather, strikes, illness or other events beyond our reasonable control, nor for personal belongings. Our liability for our own services is limited to the amount you paid for the affected service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
9. Complaints
If something goes wrong, tell your trip manager immediately so we can fix it on the spot. Written complaints can be sent to support@ghanatravelandtour.com within 28 days of the end of the service.
10. Website content
Information on this site is provided in good faith and updated regularly, but entry rules, prices and schedules change. Photographs of destinations are used under Creative Commons licences with credits in the site footer. Prices shown on the site are indicative starting points; your quote is the binding price.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any dispute will be handled first by discussion with us, and otherwise by the courts of Ghana.
