Ghana passport service

The paperwork done properly, the first time.

Applying for a Ghana passport alone usually means an online form that times out, an appointment slot that is never free, a document you did not know you needed, and no way to learn what has happened to your file. We are a small travel team in Kasoa Opeikuma, and a passport is the first thing many clients need before we can book a flight or start a visa. So we handle the application: we fill the online form with you, book the biometric appointment, check your Ghana Card, birth certificate and guarantors' details before you attend, and keep asking the Passport Office until the booklet is in your hands. You still attend the appointment in person, because the rules require it. Everything around it is ours to carry.

What we actually do

Every step between you and the Passport Office.

📝

The online form, filled correctly

Most delayed files come down to a misspelt name, a date of birth that differs between Ghana Card and birth certificate, or a blank field. We complete the application with you and check it against your documents before submission. Our passport application guide shows what the form asks for.

📅

Your biometric appointment, booked

We book the slot at a passport application centre, tell you the date, the time and the originals to carry, and explain what happens in the room: photograph, fingerprints, signature and a check of your papers. If work or school means you need a particular day, say so and we look for it.

🔍

Documents checked before you go

Ghana Card, old passport, birth certificate, guarantors' details and photos are checked against the current requirements. One missing signature can mean a second trip, so we would rather find it at our desk than at the counter. See our note on photo and document requirements.

📞

Follow-up until it is ready

After the appointment your file moves through vetting, approval and printing. We track it, ask questions when it stalls, and tell you the moment it is ready, from a person who knows your name rather than a status page.

⚡

Express when the date is real

A job offer, a school start, a funeral abroad or a visa appointment with a deadline. Where the Passport Office offers an express track we set it up, tell you the current fee and expectation, and say plainly what it cannot shorten. See the express service first.

🚚

Collection or delivery

Pick the booklet up from our office in Kasoa Opeikuma, or have it brought to your door in Kasoa or Accra. Either way we check the data page with you before we call the job finished.

Unsure which route applies to you: tell us your situation and what documents you already hold. We reply with the right route, a checklist and a written quote, with no obligation. Start here.
How it works

From first message to booklet in four steps.

1

Tell us your situation

New, renewal, replacement or a child's passport, how quickly you need it and where you are. WhatsApp or the form below, with photos of the documents you hold.

2

Get a checklist and a quote

We confirm the route, list exactly what to gather, and send a written quote with our service fee and the official Passport Office fees shown separately.

3

Application and appointment

We complete the online form with you, pay the official fee, book the biometric appointment and brief you. You attend in person with the originals.

4

Follow-up and handover

We chase the file until it is printed, then hand it over at our office in Kasoa or deliver it to your door in Kasoa or Accra.

Documents most applicants need

Gather these before we start

  • Ghana Card, the identity document the application is built on
  • Your old passport if you have ever held one, even expired or damaged
  • Birth certificate with a name that matches your Ghana Card
  • Guarantors' details in the form the Passport Office currently asks for
  • Passport photographs where the centre requires them
How the fee works

Two lines on one quote

There are two costs: the official fee paid to the Passport Office, which depends on the booklet type and on standard or express, and our service fee for preparing, booking, checking and following up. Both appear on the written quote before you pay anything, and nothing is added later. Official fees are set by the Passport Office and change from time to time, so we quote the figure that applies on the day you enquire. Pay by card, bank transfer, PayPal or Mobile Money.

Application types

New, renewal, replacement or a child's passport?

The four routes ask for slightly different papers and the appointment works a little differently for each. The exact list for your case comes with your quote, because the Passport Office updates its requirements.

ApplicationWhat you bringWho attends biometricsNotes
New passportGhana Card, birth certificate, guarantors' details, photographs if requiredYou, in person, with the originalsFor first-time applicants. We check that your name and date of birth agree across every document, because a mismatch is the most common cause of a returned file.
RenewalYour old passport, Ghana Card, birth certificate if requestedYou, in person; biometrics are captured afreshApply well before expiry if you plan to travel: many countries want six months' validity on arrival. An expired passport is still useful, so bring it.
Lost or damaged replacementPolice report for a lost or stolen booklet, the damaged booklet if you still have it, Ghana Card, birth certificate, guarantors' details, any copy of the old data pageYou, in personMake the police report the same day. A photo of the old data page, even from your phone, makes the search for your previous record quicker.
Minor under 18Child's birth certificate, the parents' Ghana Cards and passports, consent where one parent cannot attend, guarantors' detailsThe child attends with a parent or legal guardianBoth parents' details are normally required. If one parent is abroad or unavailable we explain what consent is accepted first.
📋

No fees or promised days in this table, on purpose. The Passport Office sets both, and they change. When you enquire we state the current official fee, the current expectation for standard and express, and our own service fee, in one written quote. Renewing soon? Our renewal guide walks through the process in detail.

What we control, and what we do not.

🤝

We are an agent, not the issuing authority. Ghana passports are issued by the Passport Office under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It sets the fees, decides the timelines and approves or queries every application. Our job is to prepare a file that gives it no reason to pause, book the appointment and keep following up. We never promise a date we do not control, and we tell you the current expectation rather than the one you were hoping for. Genuine documents only: if a detail on your Ghana Card or birth certificate is wrong, we help you correct it through the proper office first. We will not submit false information or forged papers, for any fee.

What you can hold us to
  • A written quote with our fee and the official fee shown separately
  • The application checked against your documents before submission
  • An appointment booked and a briefing on what to carry
  • Follow-up with the Passport Office and honest updates
  • Handover in Kasoa or delivery in Accra
Living abroad?

Biometrics are captured in person, so a Ghanaian abroad usually renews through the nearest Ghana mission or applies while home on a visit. We prepare the file either way and book the appointment for your dates in Ghana. Start with renewing an expired Ghana passport abroad and the Ghana Card for the diaspora.

Questions

Ghana passport FAQ

Do I need a Ghana Card to apply for a passport?
In practice, yes. The Ghana Card is the identity document the application is built around, and its name, date of birth and card number must match the form. If you do not yet have one, or its details are wrong, that is the first thing to sort out, and we can tell you where to go. Living abroad and not yet registered? Read our diaspora Ghana Card guide above before you plan a trip home.
Can you do it for someone who is abroad?
We can prepare almost everything, but not the appointment. Fingerprints and the photograph are captured in person, so a Ghanaian abroad normally applies through the nearest Ghana mission, or here while visiting. If a relative is coming home, tell us the dates: we complete the form in advance, gather the guarantors' details and book the appointment so the visit is not spent in a queue. For missions abroad we explain the process and check the documents, though each mission sets its own procedure and fees.
What if my old passport is lost or stolen?
Report it to the police first and keep the report; the Passport Office asks for it. Then send us any copy of the old data page, your Ghana Card and your birth certificate, and we start a replacement application. The office searches for your previous record before issuing a new booklet, so the old passport number matters. Our guide to a lost or stolen Ghana passport lists the steps in order. If it happens outside Ghana, contact the nearest Ghana mission as well.
How do I get a passport for my child?
Children get their own passport; they are not added to a parent's. You need the child's birth certificate, the parents' Ghana Cards and passports, guarantors' details and, where one parent cannot attend, evidence of consent. The child attends with a parent or legal guardian. See Ghana passports for children for the full picture, including what happens when parents are separated.
How long does a Ghana passport take?
In plain terms: the Passport Office sets the timeline, not us, and it varies with demand and with the centre. There is an express track for people with a genuine deadline, at a higher official fee; faster, but not instant. When you enquire we tell you the current expectation for standard and express as we are seeing it that week, and put it in the written quote. What we can promise is that your file will not be held up by a missing document or a spelling error.
Where do I collect the passport?
From us. Once the booklet is printed we collect it and either hand it over at our office in Kasoa Opeikuma or deliver it to your door in Kasoa or Accra; elsewhere in Ghana we use a tracked courier. We check the data page with you at handover. If you would rather deal with the centre directly, our guide to passport offices and locations lists where they are.
What does your fee cover?
Two things appear on the quote. The official fee goes to the Passport Office and depends on the booklet and on standard or express; we pass it on as charged. Our service fee covers completing the application, verifying documents, booking the appointment, following up and handing the passport over. Both are stated up front and nothing is added afterwards. Pay by card, bank transfer, PayPal or Mobile Money. For booklet types and what affects the official fee, read passport fees and booklet options.
