What every trip includes, wherever you fly from
The starting city changes the flight, not the quality of the trip on the ground. Every private trip we arrange includes a warm welcome and pickup at Kotoka International Airport, an air-conditioned vehicle suited to your group size, and an experienced driver-guide who knows the roads, the sites and the rhythm of the day. We build the route around the places you most want to see, keep driving days sensible, and factor in rest so nobody arrives exhausted.
We also help with the small things that make a trip smooth: advice on a local SIM and mobile money, honest guidance on what to pack for the season, and tips on tipping and etiquette so you feel at ease. For deeper reading while you plan, see our what to know before visiting Ghana guide and our Ghana safety guide, both written to set realistic, reassuring expectations.
When to come and how long to stay
Ghana is a year-round destination, but the drier months from roughly November to March are the most popular, with the Harmattan haze bringing warm, bright days. The greener months from about April to June and a shorter spell around September and October are quieter and can offer better value; our best time to visit guide breaks it down month by month. Diaspora travellers often aim for December, when Accra is at its liveliest.
On length, a week gives you a comfortable first taste of the south, ten days lets you go deeper, and two weeks opens up the north and Mole National Park. If you only have a long weekend, we can still shape a rewarding short trip. Our how many days in Ghana guide and the 14-day itinerary help you match the trip to your time.
How a trip with us works
However far you are travelling, the process is the same and we keep it simple. You tell us your dates, group size and what you would love to see. We send a tailored plan and a clear, written quote with no surprises. Once you are happy, a modest deposit confirms the trip and we take care of the rest.

On arrival, your driver-guide meets you at Kotoka International Airport in Accra and you begin. We are reachable throughout, and if plans need to flex on the day, we flex with them. You can read more in our guide to getting around Ghana and our travel tips for first-timers.
Why book with a Ghana-based team
Booking with a team on the ground means real accountability, honest advice and better contacts than a distant agent can offer. We live and work here, run these routes every week, and would always rather tell you what is realistic than sell you something that will not work. That honesty is the whole point.
We do not invent prices online because every trip is different; instead we build a plan around you and quote it clearly. Confirm current flight options with the airlines, check visa and health requirements with official sources, and let us handle the Ghana side. See our visa overview and best time to visit as you plan.
There is also a practical advantage to a local team when things do not go to plan. Flights shift, a site closes for a ceremony, rain arrives early, or a group simply wants a slower morning. Because we are here and running trips every week, we can adjust on the day rather than leaving you stuck with a fixed schedule set months ago from another continent. That flexibility, paired with drivers we know and trust, is what turns a long-planned trip into an easy one. It is also why so many of our guests come through recommendations from friends and family who travelled with us first.

Questions people ask
Do you arrange flights to Ghana?
We focus on the ground experience in Ghana rather than selling flights, but we will happily advise on the usual routing from your city and the best times to travel. You book the flight that suits you, and we take care of everything from your arrival at Kotoka onwards. Always confirm current schedules and fares directly with the airlines.
My city is not listed — can you still help?
Yes. The city guides cover the most common departure points, but we arrange trips for travellers from anywhere. Tell us where you are starting from and we will suggest the most sensible routing and build a tailored plan. The Ghana side of your trip is identical wherever you fly in from.
How much does a Ghana trip cost?
It depends on your group size, the season, the standard of hotels, how far you travel and how much is private. Because every trip is different, we do not publish fixed prices; instead we send a clear written quote once we understand your plans. Ask us for a tailored quote with no obligation.
Are your tours private?
Yes. Our trips are private and built around your dates, pace and interests, with your own driver-guide and vehicle. That means you set the rhythm of each day and can adjust as you go, rather than following a fixed group schedule.
How do I start planning?
Find your city above and read its guide, then send us your dates, group size and what you would like to see. We will reply with a suggested itinerary and a clear quote. A modest deposit confirms the trip once you are happy.
Is Ghana a good first trip to Africa?
For many travellers, yes. Ghana is English-speaking, politically stable and famously welcoming, with a well-trodden route that offers real variety without being overwhelming. It is often recommended as one of the easiest, most rewarding introductions to travelling in Africa.
What I know about Ghanaian travel comes from doing it: filing passport and visa applications, booking flights and hotels, collecting people from arrivals at two in the morning, and driving the Accra, Tema, Cape Coast and Kumasi runs week after week. Where this guide describes how something works, it is because we have done it.
Rules, fees and timetables in Ghana change. I have deliberately not quoted figures that go stale — where a number matters I name the office to confirm it with. If you spot something out of date, tell me and we will fix it.
